WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BLUEPRINT AND THE REWRITE?
The Blueprint is programming. The Rewrite is programming and a coach. The Blueprint is written to your test scores and then it’s yours to run for six weeks. The Rewrite is rewritten every week around what you actually did, with messaging, video review, and someone who notices when something is off before you do.
I’M IN THE TWELVE. WHY WOULD I ADD THE REWRITE?
Three sessions a week is four hours of coached training, and for a lot of people that’s a complete week. But if you’re training on the other days too, that work has to be built around what we did in the room on Tuesday. A generic plan that prescribes heavy legs the morning after a sled session is how people get hurt. That’s what the $448 buys.
DO I NEED A RACE BOOKED?
No. About half the people I coach don’t have one. A Build Block is written forwards from where you are rather than backwards from a date. Book a race later and we switch you to a Race Block and keep going.
I’M NOT A HYROX PERSON. IS THIS STILL FOR ME?
Yes. HYROX is one test of hybrid fitness, not the definition of it. Strong and an engine at the same time is the same training problem whether or not you ever pin a number on.
MONTHLY OR A BLOCK — WHICH SHOULD I TAKE?
Whichever suits your cash flow. It makes no difference to the training: everyone trains in twelve-week blocks either way. Monthly is rolling and cancellable. A block is paid up front and it’s the same twelve weeks.
DOES THE BLUEPRINT CREDIT TOWARD COACHING?
Yes. Move up within 90 days and your last block comes off your first month.
I’VE NEVER DONE THESE MOVEMENTS. IS THAT A PROBLEM?
No — it’s the most common starting point. The first weeks exist to teach the patterns before we load them.
HOW IS THE PROGRAMMING DELIVERED?
Through Everfit. Your whole block lives in one place — every session with sets, reps, target paces and video for anything you’re unsure of. You log what you actually did, and that log is what the following week gets written from.
DO I GET THE APP IN THE TWELVE?
Yes. Everyone gets Everfit. In The Twelve it carries the session record — what the room did, with your numbers against it. An individual week, rebuilt every seven days, is The Rewrite.
WHAT DOES THE $49 FOUNDING SPOT ACTUALLY BUY?
A held seat, not a discount. You hear the start date before anyone else, you get 48 hours to claim your place before the list, and the $49 comes back in full the day you start — or any time before the block begins if you change your mind. If the room doesn’t open, everyone is refunded without asking. Reserve a founding spot →
CAN MY PARTNER AND I TRAIN TOGETHER?
Yes. Doubles is $398 a month for the pair, or two spots in The Twelve at $249 each. Either way The Pair Plan comes with it.
HOW DO I CANCEL?
Email me. Monthly plans end at the close of your current billing period — 14 days’ notice for The Rewrite, 30 days for The Twelve, because a spot in a room of twelve has to be refilled. No forms, no retention calls.
WHAT IF I GET INJURED OR SICK?
We adjust. That’s the entire point of paying for a coach instead of buying a template. An extended absence pauses your block, not your money.
WHY IS IT CALLED HYBRD FOUNDRY?
Two words. One is missing a letter, and the other isn’t a gym.
Hybrd — both, at once. Most people are half an athlete: runners who can’t lift, lifters who can’t run. Both are genuinely fit at one thing and quietly avoid the other, because the other is where they get found out. The vowel is missing because nothing in here is decorative.
Foundry — where things get made. A gym is a room with equipment in it; you can go to one for five years and walk out as the same person who walked in. A foundry is where raw material is heated until it moves, poured into a shape somebody designed on purpose, and cooled until it can hold a load. Nothing leaves a foundry the way it arrived. You’re the raw material. The programme is the shape. Twelve weeks is the heat.
The Twelve trains at a gym called Crucible — the vessel that sits inside a foundry and takes the fire. I found that out afterwards. I’m keeping it.

How do I actually get the programme?
Through Everfit. You’ll get an app invite after our call and your six weeks are already in there, dated from your day one. There’s no PDF, no email attachment, and nothing to print.
Do I keep access after six weeks?
Your training history is yours and you can export it whenever you want. Active app access runs with the block — take another block or move up to coaching and it simply continues.
Do I need a race booked?
No. Six weeks builds a base whether or not there’s a date at the end of it. If you have got a race, tell me on the call and I’ll tell you honestly whether six weeks or twelve is right for the time you’ve got.
How fit do I need to be to start?
There’s no entry test — the battery in week one is a measurement, not a gate. If you can move for half an hour, we have somewhere to begin.
What if my gym has no sled or ski erg?
Very common, and already handled. The substitutions are built into the sessions, so you’ll see the alternative in the app rather than a gap.
Six weeks seems short for a race prep. Is it?
It is. Six weeks is half a race block. A full prep is two of them — twelve weeks, $218 — or let me write it and coach it, which is what The Rewrite is for.
Is there a doubles version?
No, and there won’t be. Your split comes from two specific athletes’ numbers and your handovers have to be drilled, not read. If I could sell doubles prep as a template it wouldn’t be worth buying.
What’s the difference between this and The Rewrite?
The Blueprint is programming. The Rewrite is programming and a coach. This is written to your test scores once and then it’s yours for six weeks. The Rewrite is rewritten every week around what you actually did, with messaging, video review, and someone who notices when something’s off before you do.

Do I need a race booked?
No. A Build Block is written forwards from where you are rather than backwards from a date — the right call if you’re between races, or building toward a first one you haven’t entered yet. Book a race later and we switch you to a Race Block and keep going.
I’m not a HYROX person. Is this still for me?
Yes. HYROX is one test of hybrid fitness, not the definition of it. If you want to be strong and have an engine at the same time — for a race, for a season of events, or for no reason beyond wanting it — that’s the same training problem and the same solution.
Who do you actually coach?
Anyone building both halves at once. First blocks and fourth blocks, mid-twenties to late fifties, men and women, and no assumption that you arrive already fit. The programming scales by load and distance rather than by ambition — same structure, same standard, different numbers on the bar.
How many days a week will I train?
Four to five, typically 60 to 75 minutes. I can build a functional three-day block if that’s genuinely your ceiling — tell me on the call.
What equipment do I need?
A gym with a ski erg, a rower and a sled is ideal. Most commercial gyms lack the sled — I program tested substitutions that build the same quality. Tell me what you have access to and I’ll build to it.
I’ve never done any of these movements. Is that a problem?
No. It’s the most common starting point. Weeks one through four exist to teach the patterns before we load them.
What if I get injured or sick?
We adjust. That’s the entire point of paying for a coach instead of buying a template. An extended absence pauses your block, not your money.
Can I keep doing my own lifting or running?
Tell me what you’re not willing to give up and I’ll build around it. Within reason, most things can coexist — I train four disciplines at once myself.
How do I cancel?
Email me. Monthly plans end at the close of your current billing period with 14 days’ notice. No forms, no retention calls.

The Twelve.
Where and when?
Crucible Fitness, 421 W Washington Ave, Lake Bluff. Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm for seventy-five minutes. Saturday at 10am for ninety.
What if I can’t make all three sessions?
Come to what you can. Two a week still works. If two is never going to happen, The Rewrite is the better fit and I’ll tell you so on the call.
I’ve never done a HYROX. Am I going to be the worst one there?
Plenty in the room are preparing for their first race. Plenty aren’t. The sessions scale — same structure, different loads — so nobody is standing around and nobody is drowning.
Can I try one session first?
Yes. Book a 20-minute call and we’ll get you into a session to see whether the room suits you. No pressure either way.
Can my partner and I take two spots and race doubles?
Yes. A pair takes two of the twelve at $249 each, and The Pair Plan comes with it — your split station by station, your handovers drilled, and a pace contract for the running. If one of you steps away, the other carries on at the individual rate for the rest of the block.
Does The Twelve include a programme for my other days?
It includes the block structure and guidance for your off days, not an individual programme. If you want the rest of your week written to you and rebuilt around what you did in the room, that’s The Twelve and The Rewrite together at $448 a month.
Do I need to have a race booked?
No. Plenty in the room train year-round with no date in the calendar — that’s a Build Block, and it’s the reason people stay past their first race. If you do want a date, I’ll help you pick one: Chicago is 11–15 February 2027.
How fit do I need to be to start?
There’s no entry test. If you can move for half an hour, we have somewhere to begin — and the first block is built from where you actually are, not where you think you should be. Tell me the honest version on the call and I’ll be straight with you about the timeline.

How is this different from The Twelve and The Rewrite together?
Those give you three coached sessions in a room of twelve and a written week. Elite adds the hour where you’re the only person I’m looking at — and it means your programme is written by someone who watched you train, rather than someone reading your log.
What do we actually do in the private hour?
Whatever is costing you the most. Usually that’s technique under fatigue — the sled, the wall balls, the transitions — or pacing you can’t feel yet. Sometimes it’s testing. At the start of every block I’ll tell you what we’re spending the hours on, and why.
Do I have to be fast?
No. You have to be serious. There’s a difference, and it’s usually obvious within one session.
What happens if I miss my hour?
Tell me as early as you can and we’ll move it that week where the calendar allows. Missed without notice, it’s gone — with six spots, the hour can’t be carried.
Is it a twelve-week block or ongoing?
Ongoing, month to month. Training still runs in twelve-week blocks — a Race Block if you have a date, a Build Block if you don’t — but the spot is yours until you give it up, with 30 days’ notice.
Do I need a race booked?
No. About half the people I coach don’t have one. A Build Block is written forwards from where you are, and we switch you to a Race Block the day you enter something.
Can two of us apply together?
Yes. Doubles Elite is one shared hour a week, coached together, because transitions can only be built with both of you in the room. Apply separately and mention each other.
What if I apply and don’t get a spot?
I’ll tell you where you’d be better served, and if all six are taken I’ll say so rather than leave you waiting. When one opens, the people who applied hear first.
Still undecided?
Ask it out loud.
Twenty minutes, no pitch. Tell me where you’re starting from and I’ll tell you straight — including if the answer is that you don’t need a coach yet.
