Terms of Service
These are the terms you agree to when you buy coaching, a programme, or a session from Hybrd Foundry Inc ("Hybrd Foundry", "we", "I"). They're written plainly on purpose. If something here doesn't match what you were told on a call, email me and we'll sort it out rather than argue about a clause.

1Who this is between
Hybrd Foundry Inc, a company registered in Illinois, USA, with its coaching base at Crucible, Lake Bluff, Illinois. Contact: adrian@hybrdfoundry.com.
You must be 18 or over to buy anything from us. We do not coach minors.
By buying a service, or by using the training app we give you access to, you accept these terms.
2What we sell
| Service | What it is |
|---|---|
| The Blueprint | A six-week, self-guided training block delivered in the Everfit app. A programme, not a coach |
| The Rewrite | Individual online coaching, rewritten weekly. Monthly, or as a twelve-week block |
| The Twelve | In-person group training at Crucible, Lake Bluff — three sessions a week, capped at twelve athletes |
| Foundry Elite | By application only. Private coaching, six places, including a place in The Twelve |
| Sessions and audits | One-off in-person sessions, technique audits and race-day plans |
Current prices are shown on the relevant page of the site and are the prices that apply. We may change prices, but never mid-block, and never for a subscription without 30 days' written notice to you.
Training structure is our call; payment structure is yours. Coaching runs in twelve-week blocks whichever way you choose to pay for it.
Founding Spot deposits. A Founding Spot purchase ($49) is a refundable reservation for a place in the first block of The Twelve, not payment for coaching services. It entitles the holder to priority notification of the block start date and a 48-hour exclusive window to enrol before general availability. Deposits are refunded in full: on enrolment in The Twelve; on request at any time before the block begins; automatically if the holder has not enrolled within 14 days of the block start date; and in full to all holders if the first block does not proceed. A reservation does not obligate the holder to enrol.
3Billing
Monthly plans bill automatically on the same date each month until you cancel. Blocks paid up front are a single charge. Payment is taken by Squarespace/Stripe or by Everfit depending on the product; their terms govern the transaction itself.
If a payment fails we'll email you. If it hasn't been resolved within seven days, we may suspend access until it is.
4Cancelling
Email adrian@hybrdfoundry.com. No forms, no retention calls, no reason required.
| Service | Notice |
|---|---|
| The Rewrite, and anything delivered online | 14 days |
| The Twelve | 30 days — a spot in a room of twelve has to be refilled |
| Foundry Elite | 30 days — same reason |
Your plan ends at the close of the billing period in which that notice expires, and you keep full access until then. Refunds are covered separately in our Refunds & Cancellations policy, which forms part of these terms.
5The Finisher Promise
Complete a full twelve-week coached block as written, and if you start your target race and don't cross the finish line, your next twelve-week block is on me.
Because it's a real promise, it has real edges:
- It applies to twelve-week coached blocks only — The Rewrite, The Twelve, Foundry Elite. It does not apply to The Blueprint, and no Blueprint page claims it does.
- "As written" means your sessions are logged in Everfit and your check-ins are completed. That record is the only thing the Promise turns on, and it's a record we can both see.
- Illness or injury during the block doesn't void it — silence does. Tell us what's happened, and sessions missed while we adjust or pause the block (section 7) still count as "as written". Sessions that simply go unlogged, with no word, don't.
- If injury or illness stops you starting the race at all, the Promise isn't lost — it rolls forward. We move your target to the next race you enter within six months and adjust your programming to meet it.
- A did-not-finish counts however it happens — your engine, a collision with another athlete, a medical pull mid-race. If you started and didn't cross the line, the Promise applies.
- A disqualification doesn't. HYROX's rulebook is strict and it's yours to know and race within — we'll coach you on standards and penalties, but a DQ, or a withdrawal to avoid one, is a rules outcome, not a programming outcome, and it isn't covered.
- It's redeemed as one further twelve-week block at no charge, and it's one per athlete. It doesn't cover a race you never entered.
If you think the Promise applies, email me. I'd rather honour it than litigate the definition of a logged session.
6Health, and the part you need to actually read
Coaching is not medical advice, and I am not a doctor. Nothing in a programme, a check-in, a video review or a conversation is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a substitute for care from a qualified medical professional.
Get cleared before you start. You should consult a physician before beginning any new training programme, and particularly if you have a heart condition, a chronic illness, an existing injury, are pregnant or postpartum, or have been inactive for a long period.
You agree that:
- you're in adequate health to undertake the training we program
- you'll tell us about injuries, conditions, medications and symptoms that could affect your safety, and you'll update us when they change
- you'll stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or anything else that feels wrong — no session is worth it
- you decide, in the moment, whether to perform any given exercise
Assumption of risk. Strength training, running and HYROX-style conditioning carry an inherent risk of injury. That risk cannot be eliminated by good programming or good coaching. You accept it voluntarily, and to the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law you release Hybrd Foundry Inc from claims arising from injury sustained while training, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
In-person sessions take place at Crucible, a third-party facility. Its rules and its own waivers apply to you while you're there, in addition to these terms.
7What we owe each other
We will: write your programming ourselves, respond to messages within one business day, tell you honestly when we think you're not ready or not a fit, and coordinate with your physiotherapist if you have one and want us to.
You will: give us accurate information, log your training, show up to sessions you've booked, and treat the room and the people in it well.
Intake and fit. If your intake form shows the timeline doesn't work — a race sooner than the block needs, or an injury that changes the plan — we'll tell you, and we'll move your start date so the block you paid for is the block you get.
Missed and rescheduled sessions. In-person 1:1 sessions rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice are treated as taken. Group sessions in The Twelve are not individually refundable or transferable — you're buying a place in a room, not a class pass.
Injury and illness. An extended absence pauses your block, not your money. Tell us what's happened and we'll restart when you're cleared. A block can pause for up to six weeks in total; if you're out longer than that, we'll rebuild the block around where you are rather than resume it — that's a conversation, not a penalty. For The Twelve, a pause holds your place in the room for up to 30 days; beyond that we may refill the spot, and you have first claim on the next opening.
8The app
Programming is delivered through Everfit, a third-party application. Active access runs with your block or subscription. Your training history is yours — you can export it at any time, and we'd encourage you to before you leave.
We don't control Everfit's availability. If it goes down we'll get your sessions to you another way, but we're not liable for their outages, changes or pricing.
9What's ours
Programmes, session designs, videos, written guidance and the Blueprint content are the intellectual property of Hybrd Foundry Inc. When you buy, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own training.
You may not resell, publish, or distribute them, share app access, or use them to coach other people. Train with a partner and follow the same session — of course. Run a paid group off our programming — no.
10HYROX
Hybrd Foundry is an independent coaching business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by HYROX. We coach athletes who compete in HYROX events; we don't act for the organiser, and we use the name descriptively.
Where we're able to pass on early ticket access or entry information, we will. That depends entirely on the organiser and is not something we can guarantee.
11If we end it
We may end a coaching relationship, with a pro-rata refund of any unused prepaid period, if you're abusive to us or to another athlete, if you repeatedly ignore safety guidance, if you share programming in breach of section 9, or if payment stays unresolved. We'd normally have a conversation first.
12Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that: we provide coaching with reasonable skill and care, but we don't guarantee a particular race result, finish time, body composition or fitness outcome — those depend on your training, your recovery, your health and your race day. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
13Disputes, and the law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts of Lake County, Illinois.
Before that, email me. Almost everything is fixable in a conversation, and I'd ask you to try one before anything formal.
14General
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands. If we don't enforce something immediately, we haven't given it up. These terms, together with the Refunds & Cancellations policy and the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us. We may update them, and material changes will be emailed to anyone currently coached.
